This 8 week series runs each Monday from 2nd October with final session on 18th December and will focus on a series of topics which will guide the mindful movement & meditation practices.

Start time is 11am AEDT (VIC/NSW/ACT/TAS) *Daylight Savings Time*

Which converts to:

10.30am ACDT (SA)

10am AEST (QLD)

9.30am ACST (NT)

8am AWST (WA)

Amelie begins each session ten minutes early, allowing for a nurturing space for constructive discussion & positive connection with others in our beautiful healing community as we prepare ourselves to journey inward.

(The time is set to suit the majority of regular attendees which is currently Victorians. We know this makes it challenging for some others to attend for which we are sorry. We hope to gain more funding to offer more time options in future).

We've already run the following sessions:

1) INTRODUCTION

2) SAFETY

3) ENERGY

4) GROUNDING

5) HABITS & RITUALS

We recorded the Introduction Session but unfortunately don't have the resources the record all sessions until our next funding round when we run a similar more extensive series.

***Due to personal reasons we've had to alter the remaining dates of this series ~ see below for new dates***

6) SOMATIC CONNECTION ~ 4th December

Learn about the importance of interoception to aid healing and improve the way you interact with the world to prevent further dis-ease. Learn about somatic practices that help heal trauma and release stored emotions.

7) GRIEF (SURROUNDING CHRONIC ILLNESS) & OTHER CHALLENGING EMOTIONS ~ 11th December

Learn about the mind body connection and practical things you can do to process & release challenging emotions. Learn practises to quickly boost dopamine, serotonin and other beneficial brain chemicals.

8) SLEEP ~ 18th December

As requested by the group this session will focus on what you can be doing to improve your circadian rhythms & get the most restorative sleep possible. This will circle back to much of what we've covered in previous sessions. Allow some extra time for an end of year social chat as we say goodbye for the year & enter into the holiday season. 🎄

Funded by Conquering Chronic Illness & TICNA Inc groups, this class is aimed towards those of us who struggle to get up and about which is why we've designed this practice for you to join from the comfy support of your chair, couch or even from bed.

The session provides an hour of respite for your nervous system; introducing a wide variety of physical & mental practices to guide your transition from "fight or flight" into "rest & digest" healing mode. To do this Amelie weaves together energy work, breath work, Qigong, gentle yoga, strengthening movement, EFT tapping, guided visualisation and meditation, neural rewiring, somatic connection and lymphatic stimulation. The movement practises are designed to help you gradually increase your physical mobility & strength in a very gentle way, specifically tailored to those who struggle with Post Exertional Malaise.

Join us from the comfort & support of your chair, couch or bed, and you'll be guided to feel better even if you can't physically participate in the exercises.

This session is facilitated by Amelie Becher, an advocate within our healing community who shares a wealth of knowledge around what has worked to gradually increase her own physical capacity after being predominantly bed bound with ME/CFS, CIRS, Chronic Lyme and various other conditions.

We recommend also joining the CCI/TICNA email list to be notified of further free programs such as this. To do so please email Peter Owen info@conqueringchronicillness.org
