About the event
Roll out your yoga mat, crank up the air purifiers and take a deep breath... Here within the Sanctuary Session YOU ARE SAFE! Allow your nervous system some respite as we co-regulate, checking in with our bodies and checking out from our overactive foggy minds.
Led by Amelie, who is along the path to recovering her health after decades of chronic illness due to mould, lyme & physical injury. She incorporates many of the practices she has learnt on her journey and shares many tips and tricks that you can implement into your daily healing routine that switch you from "fight or flight" mode and into "rest & digest" healing mode.

This afternoon session runs fortnightly:
Start time is 10am AEST (QLD)
which converts to:
11am AEDT (VIC/NSW/ACT/TAS)
9.30am ACST (NT)
8am AWST (WA)
10.30am ACDT (SA)
What to expect:
We begin by releasing our worries and shaking off the anxious energy before doing a grounding exercise to help our body know it’s safe and can come out of fight or flight mode. We then transition into a visualisation exercise before some gentle stretches and yoga poses (all seated or reclined on the floor and a couple on hands and knees if you can manage. *if you are unable to sit cross legged on the floor then you can do modified versions whilst seated in a chair or on the edge of your bed).
We then do some tension release and lymphatic exercises, a smidge of Qi Gong and some vagus nerve stimulation before wrapping it all up with a personal check in at the end where we have the opportunity to discuss what’s challenging us and share what’s working for us in our healing journeys.
Set aside an hour, but if the convo takes off at the end then you may wish to stick around a little longer.
